SOCIETAL LEADERSHIP

Contribute to the sustainable economic and social development of the communities and consumers who are closely linked to our activities.

HOW?
  • Encourage responsible food consumption among our fellow citizens; raise awareness through collaborative workshops.
  • Promote ecological citizenship (eco-citizenship) among Mauritians by implementing ecological projects through our franchises; encourage Mauritian families to recycle their waste.
IMPROVE THE LIVING CONDITIONS OF OUR COMMUNITIES
  • Ensure the successful continuity of our collaborative activities with the residents of Sainte Catherine through our project, ‘Pran Kont nou Piti,’ which aims to create an enabling environment for the development of children.
  • Allow an Early Childhood Centre to operate daily from 9 a.m to noon for children aged 2 to 3 years old, in collaboration with Caritas.
  • Pre-Primary School to better prepare children from the Early Childhood Centre and facilitate their transition and adaptation; parents will be given financial support during the two years of their children’s enrolment in our pre-primary partner schools, Le Cateau Vert Pre-Primary School and l'École Saint Joseph Pre-Primary School.
  • Sculpting School to inspire the artistic development of the children of Sainte Catherine, across all age groups, by holding sculpting classes on Saturday afternoons and encouraging the sale of the sculptures made.
  • Support the NGO Safire to ensure the autonomy of layer farms, with the aim of initiating children to the profession of breeding and empower them to break out of the poverty cycle through the sale of eggs as a secondary source of income.
  • Support and assist two schools in the region (Mon Ory Government School and Sainte Mary RCA) in the development and growth of their students. We have donated musical equipment to Mon Ory Government School and sports equipment to Sainte Mary RCA.
  • Share convivial moments with our former colleagues and enjoy a pleasant meal with some of Moka’s oldest community members.
